Good Deeds International is so happy to award Devin a $500 educational scholarship for his outstanding academic achievements. He is the 4 th Good Deeds International For Kids (GDI4K) scholarship recipient.
Devin demonstrated his desire to pursue his educational dreams and submitted his application for scholarship by including an essay of why “Education Was Important To Me,” two letters of references, and his Troy State University acceptance letter. He was also in attendance of Heritage Ball 2012 whereby he was introduced to over 4,000 Heritage Ball goers. He also performed some self created music lyrics for the huge crowd!
His proud mom said “GDI will be on the top of the list when he is accepting his Grammy award for best song writer.” We will be right there with him too!! Way to Go Devin! Congratulations and Best Wishes from GDI for all your future dreams and endeavors!
We are very proud of you and your many accomplishments.

Good Deeds International has developed a scholarship foundation for High School Seniors in the poorest neighborhoods in the city of Atlanta. These High School students have to exhibit the willingness and desire to further their education, but fall short of the necessary grade point average to gain a full time academic or athletic scholarship.

Through researching Atlanta’s Public School Directory’s website, we have identified 5 High Schools in the poorest communities. Poor High Schools are determined by the percentage of students receiving free lunch programs. Following is the chart we used to identify the poorest High Schools. The High Schools in bold text are the ones that we identified.

LogoJordan1The James L. Jordan Sr., Scholarship Foundation was chartered 15 magnificant years ago with only 10 Foundation members. James L. Jordan, Sr., was an outstandingly notewrothy individual, colleague, fellow deacon and friend of the Foundation Founds. He died in 1993 after battling his illness with cancer.

Over the past 15 years, the Foundation has grown numerically, spiritually, financiall, physcially, mentally and emotionally and solidly committed to preserving the legacy of James L. Jordan, Sr.

The Foundation members share their common goal of "helping inner-city youth achieve their education algoals." Because of their many loyal supporters, they have been able to provide $100,000 in scholarship awards to deserving students in post secondary institutions.
